Picking up a rental car in Cyprus? Before you leave the car park, remember one rule: traffic keeps left.
Take a minute while stationary. Adjust your seat and mirrors, find the indicator and wiper controls, and check that every existing mark is recorded on the pickup report. Then enter your route before moving.
Start slowly and keep left after every turn. Cyprus uses international road signs, with distances and speed limits shown in kilometres. Follow the posted limit, wear your seat belt, and keep your phone out of your hands.
For parking in Paphos, the municipality provides a Smart Parking app with its map, zones and payment instructions.
